Here’s how a typical appointment would go…
They talk to you for a bit, asking a few questions. Maybe some small talk to seem friendly and relatable.
Then they might move your body around, poke and prod a few things.
Tell you this is weak and that is tight. It sort of makes sense, but not really.
You get treatment, which inflicts pain to “relieve” pain. Afterwards might feel better, although temporary.
Before you leave, you might get some exercises to do. They are easy and ineffective.
You are told you need to come back in later that week, for more treatment. And to stop sport or exercise that you love.
After several weeks you have seen them for 8 or more times (an industry KPI).

Often pain can clear up before performance returns to normal. These deficits in performance can be blindspots you aren’t aware of because the body can compensate. Leaving these unaddressed sets you up for future injuries and failure later
We use our fully equipped gym to rigorously test any deficits and compensations you may have in or out of the gym. This screening process towards the end of your care helps highlight these to you so you are confident in addressing these compensations and potential deficits fully

Allowing something to linger around prolongs and possibly prevents full recovery. The longer this is left, it can become harder to retrain compensation patterns and recover lost fitness. Pain can also become a more ingrained feeling and expectation

STEP 1: Deep Dive Dynamic Pre-Consult Assessment
Our Deep Dive process encompasses thorough questioning to gather all the necessary information to confidently support you in achieving your goals. In the event that we determine you need further support or specialized services, we have an extensive network of referral partners whom we can connect you with. This ensures that you won't be left without guidance, and you can promptly start the appropriate care and management for your condition, saving you time, money and unnecessary appointments.
This in depth pre-consult information means that absolutely nothing is missed in your history, your current and long term goals, and any obvious pathways we need to take your care - all before stepping foot in the clinic.
STEP 2: Comprehensive Initial Consultation
During our initial consultation, we perform a thorough investigation of exactly what you are dealing with, its root cause, and what your goals and expectations are. We base our management from these goals, to take the time to work with you on exactly what you want to achieve.
We then establish your pain triggers, and how you are performing in your day to day life or sport to know exactly what to first target in your unique rehabilitation plan and put you on the path of recovery.
Next we formulate critical management strategies to accelerate your recovery and let you know what to change/modify to not delay your recovery or cause more problems or harm (stronger word).
Finally we collaborate with you to develop your specific program, targeting key deficits that others would miss to help you move towards your goals, recover quickly and reduce re-injury risk long term.
STEP 3: Post-Consultation Report
Based on all of the above, we establish where exactly you are on the journey to achieve your goals across 5 broad phases:
Injury/Harm management
Controlling pain and starting to stimulate key areas
Restoring previous function inc. potential mobility, strength, power or endurance deficits (to name a few)
Increasing performance in key areas to above pre-injury levels
Maintaining performance improvements
Depending on where you are across this journey, we cater your programming, management advice and education to help you move towards pain-free performance. We then use these later phases as criteria to judge not only when you can return to sport, but how to minimise your chance of re-injury and have you performing at your absolute peak potential.
We then provide you with an electronic copy of all of this information, from diagnosis, programming, what to expect on your journey to recovery, education on when to slow down and when to push forward, as well as a raft of other health based management strategies unique to you to help you get the most out of your rehabilitation with us.
STEP 4: Review process and health coaching
We offer a variety of ongoing care options for those who work with us in clinic. Standard care review sessions are available to re-assess progress, symptoms, health and the overall clinical picture, including relevant pre-consult questioning, a thorough review consultation and providing an updated patient report - as our most basic and minimum standard of follow up care.
We also offer a suite of health coaching options with industry leading inclusions to maximise your time spent under our supervision. These include fortnightly or weekly reviews and check-ins, in-App support which facilitates direct chat features, video technique assessment, tracking of all of your rehabilitation and exercise sessions done in real-time, unlimited program reviews and performance screening as standard. While not an exhaustive list, these features alone offer a level of excellence in service that is unable to be provided in the standard consult-to-consult model, and is the proactive solution needed for many of the pitfalls of modern healthcare.
